Abstrak
The ability of private universities to transform more effectively is part of their competitive advantage. Lecturers are one of essential resources in universities. A comprehensive change strategy is needed to achieve the current performance of private university. This study aims to analyze the actual condition of private universities in Indonesia and analyze the role of talent management, knowledge management, university transformation, and academic climate in organizational performance. As well as formulating the strategy of private universities to achieve performance and the maturity level of sustainability. Primary data collection was obtained through questionnaires to lecturers at universities under the coordination of LLDIKTI region III as well as in-depth interviews and discussions of experts consisting of the director-general of non-vocational tertiary institutions, the head of LLDIKTI region III, the chairman of the association of private universities and leaders of private universities.
