Abstrak
Staring Bay is located about 20 km eastern part of Kendari City, SoutheastSulawesi Province, possessing a great potential reef fish resource andcontributing to the fish supply for Kendari City and surrounding areas. Due tohigh activity of un-friendly fishing practices resulted in degrading the coral reefecosystem. An attempt to recovery ecosystem function of coral reef, rehabilitationactivity is required. One of most used techniques in rehabilitation istransplantation. Coral reef transplantation is taken to plant new reefs in thedamaging corals using various planting media. Beside technical factor,institutional framework plays an important role in order to the implementedrehabilitation can be run properly. This research was aimed at analyzing thedirect economic value of reef capture fishery, estimating management cost ofartificial reefs, and institutions framework of coral reef transplantation locationmanagement in the Staring Bay.This research was carried out in April to Juni 2019 at Staring Bay, SouthKonawe
