Abstrak
Water transport in trees occurs through xylem vessels that extend from the roots to the canopy. The ability of each xylem vessel to transport water in plants varies depending on the number, area, and length of the xylem vessels. The ability of the xylem vessels in the water transport process is known as hydraulic conductivity. Hydraulic conductivity plays an important role in many aspects of plant physiology such as: transpiration, CO2 assimilation, growth and productivity. Trees with good hydraulic efficiency are an important requirement to maintain large and high tree productivity. Previous studies on the relationship between tree height and hydraulic conductivity were carried out within and limited species, therefore, information on the relationship between tree height and hydraulic conductivity is still limited.
